The explanation below is the best I have found for this entanglement. It was given by Celeste Lamoureux on WikiTree, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Harnois-56.The girl born and baptized on 27 May 1708 to these parents was baptized Louise Angélique Harnois, godfather Louis Évrard, godmother Marie Louise Roger. [4]. The next child after her is a boy, Joseph Antoine Harnois, born and baptized 27 Mar 1710.[2]She married under the name Marie Josephe, one baptism of her children names her Marie Angélique (her mother's name), out of 17 records from her married life 5 name her Marie Josephe (including marriage and funeral), the rest all name her only Marie. If she is indeed Louise Angélique born in 1708, and not a child born in 1709 missing from the records, she must have been called by a name other than hers. She had a number of sisters, including ones named Marie Louise, Marie Angélique and Marie Josephe, who are all identifiably married elsewhere.

He became a carder, or textile worker, in Vercheres, Quebec. There is disagreement as to how he arrived in New France. Some think he arrived with the Carignan Regiment; others say no. There doesn't seem to be any record of him being attached to the regiment. It is more likely that he came an engagé to work in the developing textile industry or as a skilled worker to set himself up in the industry. Catherine was born in Montreal in 1666 making her not yet thirteen years old when she married Francois. She was the daughter of Nicolas Pierre Charron and Catherine Pillard (Plat)?.
