NOTE: The dates and places of death for Pierre and Louise came from a Geni.com website.
They are very likely to be incorrect since I doubt that either of them were ever in Canada.
The same website gives Pierre's occupation as "soldat de Carignan' which is wrong without a doubt.
There was a Pierre Abiron that came to Canada with the Carignan Regiment's Loubias Company.
He was given the dit name LaRose by his company commander. That was not his family name.
Francoise Chagnon came with the regiment's LaFrediérre Company. He was also given the LaRose
dit name which is probably the origin of the Chagnon dit LaRose name. I don't think Chagnon dit Larose was used in France when Francoise was born.
